Words I woke up to...

I heard cooing - always a sweet sound, but hard for me to appreciate at 6:45 in the morning.
I rolled over, narrowly missing the drops of brown ooze leaking out of Baby Poni's diaper and onto my bed. Poop...
Still mostly asleep I scoop her up and head to the changing table on the opposite end of my house. Maybe it's time for that to change...
As I pass through the living room I see Bubblegum curled up on the couch watching the "morning mommy saver" otherwise know as television. I think he gurgled a "good morning" at me, but he was just as much asleep as I.
Seeing my crossed eyes DH jumped in to help me change the diaper. I slowly began to wake up. Still cooing and jabbering I picked up my clean baby and headed for the couch.
Curious George is on...I sit down with Ben and the next line I hear from the tv. is

"He was the only roller skating wiener dog in the whole city!"

Maybe it was the timing, I don't know, but I just about fell off the couch giggling.

Ah-ha!

Now we know why I didn't sleep a wink this past weekend.
Baby Poni has a viral infection with a very itchy all-over body rash! And a double ear infection and sore throat to top it all off.
The frustrating thing is that she saw a doctor the day before our trip to get cream for a yeast rash and to check her ears cause she had been pulling and crying at them. I didn't want to have her on a plane if her ears were hurting. I was given the go-ahead. Her ears were fine. Hummmmm...guess I won't be going back to THAT doctor again!

I'm going to need some backup...

Jellibean and I flew to Bowie, Maryland to be in a wedding this weekend.
Can I just say that getting my brother to fly with me to watch Baby Poni was the greatest idea I have had this year so far! I would not have been able to do a single thing that Maid of Honor's are supposed to if he had not come. As it was I didn't get a wink of sleep the whole trip!
But, the wedding was beautiful and Jellibean was the picture of a perfect flower girl! She had her hair and even make-up done. As she came down the aisle she dropped the flowers a petal at a time glancing behind her every so often to make sure she had them all evenly spaced! And then she even checked to make sure the other side of the aisle, covered by the second flower, had enough petals!
As for me, the makeup artist spent 15 minutes just covering up the dark circles under my eyes! I had the bride half into her wedding gown when I was called away to nurse Poni and as we stood in line ready to process down the aisle I realized I had forgotten the groom's ring! Sugar Honey Iced Tea!
I had to run in my floor length gown and 4 inch heels to the opposite end of the church to retrieve what would have been a most embarrassing and disastrous mistake!
At least I remembered! And at least Jellibean was an angel!

Blue footed WHAT?

When DH comes in from work, the kids go rushing to the door...every time! Even if he was only gone for 15 minutes! It's very endearing.
This time was no different. Until DH tells Bubblegum and Jellibean
"Oh, I forgot your Blue Footed Booby!"
"Blue footed what?"
Blue Footed Booby!
In case you don't know what a Blue Footed Booby is

In this case it was a stuffed animal that someone had given DH to give to Bubblegum.
"A Blue Footed Booooooby?" Bubblegum asked dragging out the word that around here has become commonplace and natural since Baby Poni is still breastfeeding.
"Yes, that's what it was all right!"

Insert long contemplating pause....

Bubblegum says,
"Is it for US to suck on?"
